Companies Limited by Guarantee

Montsalvat is an historical, artist based, non-profit community precinct in Eltham. It earns revenue by functions, visitors, events, which is primarily used to maintain its heritage properties, and art collection.

The Australian Breastfeeding Association Ltd is Australia’s leading authority on breastfeeding, that supports, educates and advocates for a breastfeeding inclusive society. They receive government funding and require an audit due to this and ASIC lodgement requirements.

Incorporated Associations

ANZPAA is a representative body of Australian State Policing bodies to develop and advocate good policing policy. It is an incorporated association with revenue over $1m which we perform a full financial statement audit that is required under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012.

The Coptic Orthodox Church Diocese of Melbourne is a large not for profit organisation, representing many parishioners in Australia, and is a major property owner. It is an incorporated association with revenue over $1m which we perform a full financial statement audit that is required under the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission Act 2012.

Superannuation Funds

We are registered SMSF Auditors under ASIC, and audit over 300 SMSF’s that are required to be audited before submission of their annual return to the Australian Taxation Office.

Public Bodies

Our firm is an approved audit service provider for the Victorian Auditor General’s Office (VAGO). There are nearly 600 public bodies in Victoria that are required to be audited under the Audit Act 1994. We have in the past acted as auditor on behalf of VAGO for over 40 different entities.

One of the significant entities we have audited on behalf of VAGO is Stonnington City Council. The council provides many community services in the inner south east of Melbourne. It has revenue of about $150m, and assets over $1billion.

Private Ancillary Funds

Mutual Trust and the Myer Family Company combine to provide support services to families and philanthropists that through their private ancillary funds, support many charities and deductible gift recipients (DGR’s). As DGR’s receive tax concessions for donations, they are required to be audited by the ATO and ACNC. Our firm provides audit services, through Mutual Trust and others, to over 100 foundations in Australia.

The foundation supports more than 100 charities in a wide range of areas. As a PAF, and a DGR, the entity requires an annual audit under ATO rules..

Trusts

Donkey Wheel Trust operates a co-locating social and environmental impact organisation in an historical CBD building, providing access to people, skills, services, and opportunities that help them achieve more. As a DGR and under its Trust Deed, an annual audit is required.

The Campbell Edwards Trust is a charitable foundation that was established in 1922 in Melbourne by the late Robert Campbell Edwards. Penniless when he arrived in Australia, he built a large real estate portfolio. This has been substantially left to the foundation and the family members carry on his philanthropic values through the trusts financial support.

Public Limited Company (unlisted)

Most public companies are required to have a financial statement audit.

The company is a subsidiary of an overseas listed entity. It generates the majority of its revenues and dedicates most of its R&D efforts to clean technologies, such as emission control catalysts, materials for rechargeable batteries and recycling.

Amidata is a specialist data protection service provider, which helps ensure that data resources are secure and backed up. It also is a reseller of IT equipment and infrastructure.

Pty Ltd Company

Luv-a-duck is the largest producer of duck products in Australia. Its products are sold in all major supermarkets, and restaurants. As a large Pty Ltd entity, it is required to prepare and lodge an audited financial report to ASIC.

Canon Production Printing Pty Ltd provides sales, support and service to printers throughout the Oceania Region. It is an ultimate subsidiary of Canon, and is required to prepare and lodge audited financial statements to ASIC.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organisation in the world, with more than 6.5 million members and supporters. As a registered deductible gift recipient for its Australian subsidiary, we provide an audit opinion on the company’s financial statements.

Booran Motors is a major new and used motor vehicle dealership that employs over 350 people. Its brands include most of the major car manufacturers. It operates from multiple sites across Melbourne. The group has several large Pty Ltd companies that are required to be audited by ASIC.

Kapitol Group is a large Melbourne based construction company, that builds and manages large construction projects in the commercial, residential, education, and office fitout areas. They have delivered some of Victoria’s most iconic projects for their clients. As a large Pty Ltd company, they require to be audited to meet government standards.

The Healthy Grain provides Food Brand Owner customers and their markets around the world with unique, natural, nutritionally superior patentable whole grains that enhance peoples Health and Wellbeing. As an overseas controlled entity, they are required to be audited by ASIC.

GPRA is the only independent organisation protecting the rights of GP registrars. They also support medical students and prevocational doctors interested in general practice. It is a membership based organisation.

EDA is the peak national body for economic development practitioners, strengthening and promoting economic development through state and national events, professional development, advocacy and support.

Incorporated Associations

The vision of UITP is to enhance quality of life and economic well-being by supporting and promoting sustainable transport in urban areas worldwide. As a large incorporated association, they are required to be audited.

Trust Accounts

This client owns and operates apartment buildings and resorts around Australia, and as they take client deposits, are required to have trust accounts that need to be audited.

Collins Simms is an inner suburban real estate agency, that operates a sales and rental trust account. These accounts are required to be audited under the rules of Consumer Affairs Victoria.

Lawyers often need to have a trust account that holds clients monies for settlement of property, or payment of expenses. They are required to be audited by an approved Examiner under the Legal Profession Act.

Owners Corporations

The docklands shopping and entertainment precinct is owned and operated by a major funds manager. As it leases out its properties to tenants, it is required to provide them with a schedule of outgoings. This schedule is required to be audited.

ECM manages many large apartment and office/retail buldings in Melbourne. As the buildings have registered owners corporation plans, under the Owners Corporation Act 2006, a statment of income and expenditure needs to be prepared and provided annually to the owners corporation committee of management, and this is required to be audited.

Franchising Code – Solvency and Marketing Fund audits

Clark Rubber is a major retailer with over 70 stores throughout Australia. It sells everything from pools, foam and rubber. The Franchisor is required to provide audited financial information to its franchisees, including a solvency statement, and a marketing or promotional fund profit or loss statement.

Ultra Tune is an Australian owned franchised automotive servicing and roadside assist company with over 275 centres. Ultra Tune is the largest independent automotive car servicing and repairer in Australia. It is required to provide audited financial reports to its franchisees under the Franchising Code of Conduct.

International Air Transport Association (IATA):

Reho Travel is an experienced travel management company. With offices in Melbourne and Sydney, the company is focused on managing the travel for companies with a travel spend up to $5m. Agents registered with IATA need to have their financial reports audited as they usually hold significant client deposits.

Australian Financial Services Licence:

Advocate Advisory is a ASIC licenced financial planning group. As it has an AFSL, ASIC require its financial statements to be audited and submitted to them to ensure compliance with its license conditions.
